Therapy Systems

The use of water as a therapeutic agent was used by the ancient Romans. Since then, bathing has evolved thru the ages into European health spas and Asian soaking tubs. All cultures have recognized the healing benefits of a warm bath.

At Boston Walk-In Bath & Stairlift Company, every premium tub is roomy enough for a full-body soak providing an effective way to benefit from hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy is the ways in which water, by simply submerging yourself in it, can not only relax and comfort, but can also heal the body, mind and spirit. Many studies have shown that soaking in a warm or hot bath can provide detoxification, stress-relief, and increased circulation among other benefits. It can also help with many health ailments such as insomnia and arthritis as well as helps lower blood pressure. Cold water soaks can be great as well by invigorating and energizing the body and the senses. Simply soak in the tub and feel pain and stress melt away while relaxing in comfort and luxury.

Water treatment is one of the oldest, most cost effective and safest methods of healing ailments related to aging. Water is not just for cleansing but also improving our health.

Here are some immediate medical benefits of using hydrotherapy:

Arthritis: Seniors affected by arthritis seek relief by soaking in warm water. A walk-in tub can provide the warmth and buoyancy needed to both relax and massage joints and muscles, in the convenience and comfort of your own home.

Insomnia: Warm baths have been shown to improve both your ability to fall asleep and the quality of your sleep, and as such, hydrotherapy is one of the most popular home remedies for insomnia and sleeplessness. Insomnia is generally caused by having too much blood in the brain. Hot baths dilate capillaries.

Diabetes: In a study published in 1999 by the New England Journal of Medicine, people with Type 2 diabetes soaked in hot tubs for 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week. Doctors noticed that these patients had an easier time controlling their weight and plasma glucose levels. Some patients even required smaller doses of insulin as a result. Patients who were unable to exercise reported even more benefits as hydrotherapy helped increase blood flow to their skeletal muscles.

If you have never given a hot bath a chance, now is the time to try it. A hot bath relaxes the nervous system, calms the mind, relieves sore muscles and joints after strenuous exercise and soothes the pain of fibromyalgia, bursitis and backaches. If you are troubled with circulation and mobility, a walk-in bathtub is the right thing for you.

pump1
SYLLENT GENERATES “FREE HEAT” With its revolutionary Green Heat Energy System, Syllent dramatically increases the enjoyment of owning a whirlpool bath while supporting environmental sustainability. Its integrated pump and motor design generates “free heat” as it circulates water, delivering unparalleled warmth and comfort without wasting energy.Only this technology can meet the consumer’s need for the highest flow performance coupled with the quietest fluid motion.

REVOLUTIONARY SYLLENT TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN…A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF BENEFITS

Syllent is the quietest bath pump in the world, enhancing the overall whirlpool bath experience. It’s perfect for use in the home, in the hospitality industry, or any noise-sensitive area.
Traditional whirlpool bath pumps are typically very noisy, which detracts from the whirlpool bath experience and also disturbs others in surrounding areas. Less than 5db(A) ambient noise.

Syllent maintains hot water temperature and substantially delays water-cooling by capturing and circulating the heat energy from its motor.
Heat energy produced by traditional motors is dissipated by a (noisy) cooling fan into the ambient air under the bathtub.

Syllent is safe – its composite construction provides triple electrical insulation. It could even run if totally immersed in water.
Traditional pumps require electrical isolation between the pump and motor.

Syllent features its own internal water sensor, which automatically shuts the pump off in the absence of water.
Add-on electronic water sensors are typically required in traditional pumps to protect against running dry.

Syllent will not leak – by design it has no shaft seal.
The shaft seal between the wet end assembly (pump) and the motor in a traditional pump deteriorates over time, resulting in leaks.

In Syllent’s revolutionary technology and design, the motor and pump are integrated in a single unit with no motor bearings to wear out, no cooling fan to create noise, and no pump shaft seal to leak. Its design creates a hydro-magnetic bearing, the patented core concept behind the extraordinary performance of Syllent. Only this technology can meet the consumer’s need for the highest flow performance coupled with the lowest energy consumption and quietest fluid motion. The result is a more energy-efficient, reliable and quiet system.

energy

STRONGER. GREENER. QUIETER.

Syllent uniquely combines high-end performance with industry-leading energy efficiency. The heat energy generated by the pump is released into the water, eliminating the need for a power-consuming cooling fan or supplemental heater.

Syllent keeps bath water warmer longer. Because it keeps pumping heat into the water, Syllent extends the comfort and enjoyment of the therapy experience.

Syllent is safe and reliable. Its composite construction provides triple electrical insulation; it cannot leak because it has no shaft seal; and its internal sensor automatically shuts off the pump in the absence of water.

Syllent is the quietest bath pump on the market. Unlike traditional whirlpool bath pumps, Syllent requires no noisy fan, creating a quieter, more relaxing bathing experience and making it perfect for use in homes, hotels, or any noise-sensitive area.
